The courts avail themselves in solving issues of paternity. Today most paternity cases, (cases to determine who the father of the child is) are determined by blood tests that have been accepted by the Courts to be presumably conclusive. Courts have the ability to order such a test. Paternity becomes an issue in cases involving custody, child support, and estate matters.
